'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Super-Feng Shui me

"I'll have a medium dream-catcher with a small dragon please, and two mystic Indian sayings."
"Do you want crystals with that?"

  3. Yes Feng Shui always sounds to me like something from a Chinese resturant menu -
"I'll have the Feng Shui please with extra noodles and fried rice"

  4. Imagine a Christian equivalent: "Prayers, Marys, Angels, Relics". You post that and everyone sees through the shame. Post this, and most looking at it contendedly remind themselves what a bunch of nutters anyone outside the monotheist/ materialst norm must be.

Rant over. And yes I did laugh!

  5. I was just reflecting on how this little shop 'sells' lifestyles - Zen, Budhism, Feng Shui - as if you can 'buy' these things without effort or thought - like a burger...

...and the lumping of them all together, like some kind of 'alternative' menu.

  6. Is that what New Zealanders would call a shopping mall?
And as I am feeling facetious this morning... don't they teach spelling in Kiwi schools? There's no "z" in "crystal"! The sooner I can get over there to uphold standards in spelling the Queen's English the better! Please contact your local MP to see if they will fund my travel.

  7. I love the idea of buying a dragon. Imagine taking it for walks!

  8. Mall? Ha ha.
Teaching? In NZ? Now there's an idea... killing two birds?
It must have been very early morning for you to a) come up with such a weak joke, and b) to see a 'z' in that sign...
    You need a holiday YP!

Emily, yes! You'd need a chain lead rather than combustible leather, 'tho'.

  9. I agree with Katherine Yorkshire P, if you can see a Z in any of that you need a holiday - BUT I guess it is an easy mistake for someone like you to make considering you are living at the bottom of the world, thus standing pretty much on your head - and you are a product of a somewhat dubious educational system, BUT never fear - I am the minister of re-colonisation and we are on the verge of re-colonising the UK with educated people who can spell and recognise all the letters of the alphabet (including the letter Z).

And your comment is hilarious! LOL!

  11. Yoorkshyre Puod - you of all people should realise that the liberties taken with the word Cryztal is an ancient and honourable English Language tradition - Indeed it is well known that the bard himself never signed his name with the same spelling twice in a row - indeed I challenge you to read the original of the Magna Carter (written in [old] English) without a modern translation thus revealing how language and its spelling changes and evolves over time. It is only curmudgeons and those who have failed to emigrate to the Antipodes (aka - Cutting edge English Language Developement Centre) that think otherwise.
