Guess I need to express my artistic side a bit more...

  4. Perhaps somewhat less charitably, Al Capp said, "[Abstract art is] a product of the untalented, sold by the unprincipled to the utterly bewildered."

  8. Modern art can uplift us and it can fill our hearts with angry scorn. On the modern art bandwagon are true artists who enhance life and there are nobodies who have nothing to say. Linked with this world are snobbish onlookers who pretend that they have superior understanding. If Art means anything it should speak to receptive viewers and not repulse them.

  9. Do please have a look at my friend John Coombes's website www.deletetheweb.com/unstuck - he's written a recent piece saying exactly that - he's an artist and film-maker.
