'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Can one buy absolutely anything online?

While checking out the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull (who'd want to be a newsreader some days? ) I noticed the advert....

This site informs me there are probably around 20 volcanoes erupting at any one time, but that doesn't include undersea ones, nor ones on other planets. I wonder how much they cost. Probably out of the range of an art student.

  2. Probably the answer woulld have to be yes- at a price.
    My best buy yesterday (I hope it arrives!) was a quantity of pebbles...they are actually chocolate filled sweets, and I can't wait to surprise a few people with them!!!

  3. Bettyl - yes. Learning, and 'buying'. I wonder how you can compare prices, 'though.

    Jinksy, that reminds me of a story of a friend who loved chocolate-coated raisins, and also had a pet rabbit that was allowed to run in the lounge... My friend was avidly watching a movie one night and absent-mindedly noticed he'd dropped some of his sweets on the settee... Do I need to continue?

  4. How wonderfully observant! Even after reading the posting it took me a few minutes to see 'the' advert. I take them all so for granted. It would appear that they are wasted on me for one.

    WV = duped iss. Hmmm.

  5. Well GB, I don't usually notice them, but this seemed to catch my eye, it was so blatantly ridiculous!

  6. Well now, if they sold you a volcano erupting on Saturn, how would you know if it was really there or not? You can hardly go and check it out, so they're clearly onto a winner! ROFL!

  7. If you were silly enough to buy a volcano erupting on Saturn then you'd deserve everything you got (or didn't get!).

  8. Google Earth doesn't include Saturn Jay, but does cover Mars. I think I'd purchase Olympus Mons, even though it is only slightly possibly active. It would be great to own the biggest mountain in the Solar System, don't you think?

    Aw GB, your cynicism is understandable given your impending travel plans :o)
    Just teasing - actually it looks as though you may be OK.
