  3. Bizarre! When I saw that I immediately though "I saw that in the National Gallery". I obviously didn't because it's in the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tricks of the mind. I certainly is a remarkably striking and unforgettable picture though.

  6. Yes, Geeb. I've always enjoyed the enthusiasm of Rousseau. The lack of accuracy seems to go with it. Apparently he was a nice guy too, and had plenty of patrons, who, although they may have privately thought his art was rubbish, supported him because he was so passionate about his own work.
