'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

On the Alpaca Farm

It's been lovely on the farm.  I work at the table, occasionally putting my head up to see the view:

The view from the alpaca farm north towards the estuary

West.

The alpacas keep me company.

Alpaca fuzzy face.
 And then in the evenings...

  3. I could force myself to live with a view like that! I love big skies. Alpacas may be gentle but I wouldn't want to upset one. I know of a rather tetchy one that used to project the acidic and foul smelling contents of its stomach at people apparently at random.

    1. Yes Geeb. James has recently helped to shear this lot. He got his fair share of smelly vommitty spit directed his way. They were not amused.

    1. Jay - the view was very windy yesterday! I thought the house would fall over.
That particular one always wants to sniff the camera in case it will open up and spill out alpaca food.

  11. Sherry - The word Suri sounds familiar Spinners End... They belong to friends, so I don't know, sorry. I have tried to spin the wool but it was very slow going, even mixed with sheep's wool. Maybe I didn't persist long enough.

Violet - nice to see you. Welcome back!
