'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Slow Down

Although this is just an advert from Australia, I think it is brilliant.  It's my philosophy exactly, and, well, if I don't always achieve it, I do try.

And, it's really a matter of necessity when one is an artist.

Speeding through life doesn't find me the Zone.

Slow down, you move too fast,
Got to make the morning last
Just skipping down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy.

I've got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep,
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me.
Life, I love you,
Feeling groovy.

    1. I guess if you enjoy each moment and are happy Judith, does it matter?

  2. Simon and Garfunkel, I love them, they sang in my key. It doesn't matter if my life is too fast, my body is too slow to keep up with it.

  5. It's my philosophy especially when driving (I rarely have to be anywhere quickly because I always leave plenty of time for the journey) and all the more so since a heart attack over 12 years ago made me take stock. I think the philosophy of the advert is brilliant but how effective it would be I'm uncertain about.

    1. Not now perhaps and never with regard to driving (I can drive quickly but never hastily) but there was a time when I lived my life at a stupid pace and paid the price. Fortunately the price was not as high as it can be for many.

  7. A good advertisement Katherine. And State sponsored too. Maybe our country could do with similar and help keep people out of hospitals - Dave

  9. Wonderful. I do try to follow a slow life-style, but it's hard, and certainly well worth being reminded about it, and the benefits.
(I take the message as being much more than about driving, as do most of you)
