Being Happy 1

I don't know why, but there's something about looking at detailed natural patterns, tiny stones, shells, minute plants, insects, and other baby bits and pieces that seems to make me smile.  Perhaps it's because so many marvels can fit into a small place that seems to concentrate the preciousness.

Todays' reflection was inspired by Jay of The Depp Effect.

  1. I do so agree! I LOVE miniature things in nature - even bacteria and viruses are beautiful close up, and some have complex natural patterns in them!

Your little bits and pieces are lovely, and you captured them beautifully too. Nice black background! I particularly like the three-pointed bit (is it a piece of starfish?) and the yellowish dotty bit ... and the swirly remnants of shell .. Oh, to heck with it. I like them all!

Thanks so much for joining in! If one or two more people do so, I'll bring Mr Linky back. :)

  2. Jay - I'm so glad I gave you cause to use four enthusiastic exclamation marks. But I do need to tell you that I'm not as diligent as you at always using my own images - I didn't take these ones.

  3. I love all these tidbits of marine biology and flotsam and jetsam! They make me happy, too.

But don't let Jay fool you. All she needs to be happy is a photograph of Johnny Depp to gaze at 24 hours a day.

  4. It's like looking at grains of sand under a microscope - truly awesome.
