'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Back at the Beach

Last year I spent about five weeks here at Ohope Beach. This is a shorter time, but I intend to do the same things: plenty of walking with the dogs, some painting, and lots of chilling out in these lovely surroundings.
I walked for 90 minutes yesterday.  There were lots of people out enjoying a stunning late afternoon Easter Friday at the beach.

This IS what Ohope Beach crowded looks like!

Where there are people, there are gardens.

See?  Here are the crowds.

This morning was lovely too, although there were fewer people and a completely different atmosphere. We have had an hour walking. The light was soft, the air is warm, the dogs are now fed and are fast asleep snoring, and it's time for my breakfast.

    1. Yes John. Lots of sky here. Sharper images from tomorrow when I will use my camera instead of ipad…

  2. So obviously you had a great day on the beach. There aren't many beaches like this that are uncrowded.

  3. Looks idyllic. I love long sandy deserted beaches, especially if there are a few shellfish to be had along the way.

    1. Plenty at low tide Cro. Bring a spade, but familiarise yourself with your bag limits.

  5. That's rather sad; a bit like me not being able to pick mushrooms for fear of poisoning.

    1. Cro - I think the toxic algae blooms are a late summer thing mostly.
Aren't most fungi edible? I generally get away with it. I will let you know if I don't. Via my will.

  6. I have the big beaches (well I do when I'm at home - I'm in Glasgow at the moment) but the warm, balmy air? No. Sigh.

  7. Gosh, looks like you get up early. Do you go to bed early too. It's been very hot and humid for this late in the year here. A rainy Easter so far too. . Nothing unusual about that ! Hope you are having a nice Easter.
