'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Kindle

Guess what arrived two days ago on our doorstep?
Many, many thanks to my kids for my early Christmas present.  I'm loving my new Kindle!

  1. You will love it! Mrs P never lets hers leave her side and calls it Ebbie - short for electronic book.

  2. SP - I haven't named mine yet. Unless it is to call it 'My Precioussssss.'

  5. Wonderful things. That and my iPod which enables me to carry my music collection to New Zealand are two of my most useful and important possessions.

  6. I'm jealous. They sound terrific. I'll put one on my list but it is a pretty long list !!!
    cheers
PS. Interesting to hear you had an Airedale. We did too... and she was lovely.

  7. Thanks Dave. Have you one?

Dawn - I have even order a 'skin' for mine. I'm really getting 'with it'!

GB. Oh that's right - those too must be virtually a necessity for you. I have a little hand-me-down ipod shuffle as of few days ago. My cup runneth over! (I've been learning Italian on it!)

Helsie - A kindle would be very handy when you are traveling next year. Only problem with them I've found, is that when you have finished a book, you can't say to someone, 'I've just read this, it's terrific, would you like to borrow it?'
Yes, Alice our airedale was a lovely creature too.

  8. They should have saved it till Xmas Day! Now there'll be nothing for you to unwrap apart from your customary bottles of sherry. Why not call your Kindle Ed as in Ed Link (anagram)? You could say - "I'm going to bed with Ed".

  9. Are you trying to be provocative YP? I moved on from sherry at least two years ago. Now I send out requests for Chocolate liqueur cherries and Stone's Green Ginger WIne... Getting very trendy, me. Ha!

  10. Katherine, no I don't have one. Tried talking Jill into us getting one but she isn't interested.

  11. You really need your own Dave. They are hard to share.
