What a Difference Eleven Minutes Makes.

This morning, after all the wind and rain of the last ten days, it was lovely to see the sky was mostly clear, and washed fresh and glowing with the promise of a sunny new day.

At 6.34 am (daylight saving time), I stood on my little studio porch (after an early-morning stint in the studio) and saw this:-

6.34 am

Eleven minutes later I was at my computer desk about to post the picture, and the same bit of sky had already turned golden and looked like this:-

6.45 am

Isn't it all just absolutely marvelous?

I should add that I am posting both images many, many hours afterwards because for some weird reason Blogger wouldn't let me at the time...

  1. It is all just absolutely marvellous. I love skies...any skies....all skies. I never cease photographing them. Blogger, on the other hand, can be a right royal PITA. However, and I am, of course, throwing caution to the winds and tempting The Fates, I've had no problems for quite a while.

    1. Blogger is usually very good Geeb, don't you think? I see you've been dawning too over there at your blog.

  2. Nature is truly marvellous. When I was younger I was only half aware of this but as I have grown older I have become increasingly thrilled by what is on offer.
