'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
As I write these words it's 12 minutes into the new year.
May this new year bring you health and happiness.
And if there are any metaphorical clouds, I hope they are interesting shapes and colours and not raining on you for too long.
Still in my New Year's Eve morning dressing gown, I reciprocate your New Years Eve good wishes for 2014 Kate. Just watched live coverage on the BBC of the fireworks over the Sky Tower in Auckland. HAPPY NEW YEAR!.
Just checked my watch and it's still not new year I'm afraid - maybe you're living in an accelerated wormhole or something? But, for the sake of a few hours, I'll wish you HAPPPYYY New Year anyway :) Let's hope it's a good one !
Thank you for your wishes Brian. I have heard NewbieLand described as an armpit of the world, and stuck in a time-warp, but this is a first as a wormhole :-)
Here at the end of the time-zone trail it is just sunrise on December 31st as I write this. But Happy New Year to you as you blaze the trail for the rest of us!
I always hope, it's a little reassuring to bloggers in other time-zones to know that, whatever happens, tomorrow not only will come, and in fact probably already has down here.
Oh Adrian, well, at least we now have the Laughing Horse award Presentation evening to look forward to. Wasn't last year's a hoot. I don't remember waking up at all THAT morning!
Oh dear Katherine - you must have downed a dozen jager bombs before shaking your booty up on the bar! I never realised that you were such a wild child - but that's artists for you!
Once again I wonder at our amazing planet, with its waves of new beginnings... Teatime here as darkness falls and we wait for our new year. Happy and blessed New Year Katherine and all your readers!
I've been gazing at the photo and it reminds me so much of a painting or paintings I have seen but I can't, for the life of me, think which artist or artists. It is, regardless of that, a very beautiful scene.
Just woke up. It is a beautiful sunny day. May there be many more like that for the rest of 2014. Happy healthy new year to you Katherine and be careful at aftermas.

ReplyDeleteYP, I love this idea. I guess somewhere, at any one moment there is a blogger in our little circle, who is still in their 'jammies. If they wear them.
DeleteHappy New Year to you too Katherine ~ what a lovely sentiment ~ interesting shapes and colours. I like that :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol. It must have been the tomato juice that inspired me.
DeleteStill 11 hrs to go here in France. I doubt if I'll be able to stay up to greet the new year.... I'm getting old.
ReplyDeleteCro- I amazed myself as I didn't intend to stay up. I was practising my French on Duolingo, and looked up and was 11.45.

ReplyDeleteAntonia, 'waves of new beginnings'. This is such a lovely way of looking at our world!
DeleteHappy New Year to you Katherine! Here in Denmark we have 4 hours left of the old year. Hope the new year will be a good year for all.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Kirsten.
