Home Again

... And it's jolly cold in the house, but my bed felt just right, the way I like it, and the shower water was deliciously hot after just one night of heating.
However the leaves have not, contrary to hopes, blown themselves away. The good news is, the sun is shining and my back is strong and my arms are raring to go!

  1. Leaf sweeping is a thankless job, but the smell of a leaf bonfire is some recompense.

  2. I hope none of those leaves belong to the neighbour's trees.
We don't get to have bonfires here anymore, and I still miss that smell of burning leaves. The most wonderful of autumnal smells.

  3. All the leaves are my own, much to the dissapointment of MY neighbours... And actually, I find it rather meditative raking. I don't burn the leaves. They all go to make compost.

  4. From what I gather you've now been hit by an icy blast of Winter. Hope you are warm !

    1. Yes Helsie. It's very cold. Rain is forecast in a couple of days, which will warm things up, ironically.
