Ah Autumn!
In autumn a woman's thoughts turn lightly to ... snuggling up with a good book .... no
Autumn, autumn, how do I love thee, let me count the ways ... Leaves everywhere, nip in the air, gutters need cleaning out .... nah.
Tis autumn, and the slithy toves did gyre and .... no.
No Slithy Toves here; we're just entering our true summer.
ReplyDeleteI heard it was a bit late this year. That's 'cos we're holding onto it down here.
DeleteShall I compare thee to autumn day? Er.....ooops.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't have the same ring to it, do it?
DeleteAutumn is icumen in; lhude sings cuckoo...oops.
ReplyDeleteBizarrely I DID hear a cuckoo (New Zealand shining cuckoo) the other day. AND a grey warbler which it parasitizes. I think it has been an unseasonably warm autumnumnum here.
