'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Challenge No: 1

...to resist this game called BOOKWORM, that Robert (aka 'the plague') mentioned a while ago.  It looks simple - almost puerile or childish... but it's not, and so be warned:  it's very addictive!

  1. I haven't played this in a while, so am a bit rusty. I reached level 10 and scored 92,000+ points. Not too shabby, but not great.

    1. I have wasted many happy hours on this since you recommended it Robert. Your score is good!

  2. Hmm. I managed to get to Librarian before I burnt down the bookshelf!

    1. I know I live a quiet life, but I get very tense when there's a threat of burning drawing ever lower! I'm easily amused.
And I amuse my kids easily too. I can't even watch them play those driving games in case they crash.

  4. On my second attempt at Bookworm, I reached level 11 and scored 126,640 points. Better. On one memorable day a year ago, I scored over 350,000 points. Haven't played in a while and don't want to become re-addicted! If I should [become re-addicted], it's all your fault!

My name is Robert and I'm almost a Bookworm-aholic.

    1. Robert - Ha! The analogy continues: The heady, intoxicating high as the score goes up and up, the chores undone, the abandoned families, the subsequent ashes of the ruin and degradation.

  5. First time I've heard of it but I gave it a try.Don't think I quite get it yet but I'll keep trying. Have to say my favourite is Freecell.
    Cheers

  6. I have enough problems making time to read never mind playing games. Next you'll be saying that life is for enjoying oneself.
