'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

For ages I've been trying to save money.  This is mostly because I don't like working much, and it means I have more money to do the things I really want to, eg go on overseas trips or buy books.
I save mostly in areas of house-hold expenditure, and so I'm feeling rather smug when I see how many of the suggestions in this diagram I've been doing for years.

Note to self: must work on not using the car so much.  Make a start as soon as have come back from Dunedin trip ...

  1. I just love this poster! Where did it come from?

Can I post it on my blog?

Like you, I do most of these things as much as I possibly can. Don't use a car much at all, about 3K miles per year, or about 1/5 the average.

  2. Hi Dan, yes, it appeals to me too. Of course you can use it. You should be able to grab it off my site and save it to your own mac :-) Then you can do what you want with it. But let me know if you can't and I'll do something else.

  3. That's a Mind Map, I've been making them for years. Check out the technique here: http://www.worldmindmappingcouncil.com/

Or Google Mind Map in images for lots of other examples

  4. Yes, Crofty, in schools I make them up from children's brainstorms at the beginning of projects. Or get older kids to make their own. They are a really good tool. Good for adult decision-making too. Thanks for the site.
