I've had a couple of fires, but just for the novelty really. Winters are not long here compared to some places. But it's probably time to stop eating ice-cream† and start making soups...

Violet - Yes, daylight is very useful, but I don't mind the night either. I stay up too late during summer. And so I use the winter to catch up on my sleep! At least, that's the theory! Talking of catching up - I must come and visit you soon.
