A Duo of Beethoven's Fifths

Sing - or even just say - 'Na na na naaah!' and many would know exactly what Beethoven Symphony you were talking about.

Beethoven is my favourite composer.  I hope you like this version of the Fifth.

And here is another interpretation, only with the addition of two more instruments - two humans.

  3. I could never say that I have a favourite composer. In fact I have a favourite of very few, if any, things. Music, in particular, goes with my mood in the same way that I might fall in love with a particular picture one day and another the next.

  4. Fun! I do prefer Sid Caesar with Imogene Coca, however (from Your Show of Shows in the early fifties), to just about anything Sid Caesar did with Nanette Fabray (from Caesar's Hour in the mid to late fifties), all of which I saw live in glorious black-and-white every Saturday night on a 12-inch Philco television set in my parents' home.

I learned to play a piano transcription of the first two movements of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 (the Allegro con brio and the Andante con moto), but they never had quite the pizzazz of a full orchestra, though. And I never tackled the third and fourth movements at all (the Scherzo Allegro and the Allegro).
