One day last week I picked Granny up early and brought her over the hill to the exhibition. She looked at all the paintings and had a cup of tea and a piece of carrot cake then read the entire three volumes of the 'Mother and Daughter's Trip to the World'. Later after lunch she had a two hour nap on Natalie's bed.
She said the house looked very nice and the paintings were very interesting but asked to be excused reading all the writing on them but she was a bit short to see it properly.

ReplyDeleteThank you Helsie. -in law. Ex. But the last ten years just good friends.
ReplyDeleteLove your 'diary page'. I often would write all over my 'work in progress', then just leave it there.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Cro. What kind of things did you write?
DeleteJust reminders of colours, shapes, images, etc; usually until paint dried.
DeleteA lovely 'part of a day in the life of'.
ReplyDeleteThanks Geeb. Insert yourself here.
DeleteThe diary page is marvellous - beautiful calligraphy and such well-observed illustrations. It's like a page from the journal of an eighteenth century naturalist - only finer than that.
ReplyDeleteThank you YP. Many - most of my current pieces seem to look like pages from some book...
