'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

And the seasons...

...they go round and round, and the painted ponies go up and down.

But time is relative.  Relative to what you are doing.  An hour in the company of someone you love but may never see again for a long time can seem like a minute.  A minute walking barefoot over hot sand back to the camp-ground can seem a hour...

  2. That is absolutely fascinating! The grasshopper is scary but the whole thing is wonderful. Thanks for that, Katherine.

Time sure is relative. There's a country music song going 'round up here now called 'Don't Blink'. Do you hear much country down there? That song pretty much sums up the way I feel most days, lately.
    Really nice pics.

Wow, that clock is truly beautiful! I'm not much into strange inventions purely for the sake of novelty, but I really like that! Thanks for the YouTube link!

  5. I want to go to the inauguration of this intriguing clock. Would anyone like to sponsor my plane ticket? I promise to take lots of meaningful pictures and share them.

  6. Fascinating! I had read about the Corpus Clock, but this is the first I've seen of it. Excellent post!

  7. Jennifer - I think the grasshopper is the best bit! But I have odd tastes... You're welcome.

Glenn - thanks for dropping by - many Kiwis are keen on country music - We have our own which sounds a bit like Irish folk, and a bit like bluegrass. I'll check out 'Don't Blink' soon. I'm not really all that keen on Country and Western music, but I do like James Taylor and Jimmy Nail.

Jay - time I said thanks to YOU for smiles, guffaws and laughs over at your place!

Auden - If you find a sponsor, make it two, 'cos I'd love to go too!

Sam - You are very welcome. I'd never heard of it before. It's truly wonderful.
