'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Special day

Exactly twenty-four years ago today my life changed marvelously and forever.

Because, at about 8.30 am, my first child was born.  Here he is at about ten months.
He's still cute now.
But in a different way, obviously.

Taller, for a start.

And hairier.

But possibly no more mobile, what with the plaster cast and all.

Happy Birthday darling!

  2. And you've not changed a bit (those rose tinted glasses you recommended are working a treat !!).

Seriously though, happy birthday to oldest son (I have his name at home but not here) and I hope he managed to get two lots of pressies for the last 23 years at this time of year.

  5. Happy birthday to the boy.

My younger daughter is also 24, she being the one who brought Beatrice into the world. I try to convey the fleeting nature of time to her, but I guess you have to live long enough to really appreciate how swiftly it flies.

I am Fast Red Bike "Jim"'s sister Patsy. He shared your blog site with me. Thanks for sharing your son's photograph. My son just turned 25! Oh my. And in an earlier post regarding rainbows. I think the authoress has a screw or two loose! ANDS she can't spell. but loved the remark about the dihydrogen monoxide. Hee hee. Best wishes from the northern hemisphere. Enjoy your summer.
