Queenstown scenery is breath-taking. Everywhere you look there is another mountain covered in snow, or a crystal clear blue lake, or a schist boulder-covered hillside. This pit-stop has a backdrop of the 'Remarkables' range. Remarkable, don't you think? Of course I also took this image because the BP colour is green. There was little of that colour on the trip, so I grabbed it where I could.
Majestic but chilly looking location..
ReplyDeleteWeeell... yes, but warm in the sun Jinksy.
ReplyDeleteThat range really is remarkable! Even more so is the word "Veiw" in your title!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found some green....
Queenstown is beautiful. I've seen it from above the lake while hanging from a kite pulled by a boat. Took me 3 days of viewing from my lakeside stay before I had the courage to try it. (I'm very frightened by heights.) However, I couldn't even get on the bungie bridge in near-by Arrowtown to watch that stuff. Are you going to post your bungie jump soon?
ReplyDeleteRobert - thank you for pointing out the typo!
ReplyDeleteJudy - Wow! You went parasailing!? Well done! I would love to do that. We didn't get to the bridge and in any case bungie jumping is not on my bucket list.
I've never seen Queenstown and its surrounding mountains in the snow. One year......
