'I'm always looking for the Hows and the Whys and the Whats,' said Muskrat, 'That is why I speak as I do. You've heard of Muskrat's Much-in-Little, of course?'
'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Flying

It's been too long since I was last airborne.  I love to fly almost as much as I love to be out on the water...

Flying.

Pacific waters ridge and spume below
And foam in clouds mound a thousand meters high
Stretching between the edges of the globe
I fly through the oceans of sea and sky.

Adapted by me from  "Sonnet #747" by an unknown poet.

  4. Do you like to fly in little planes, too? One of the things I want to do someday is ride in an open cockpit biplane over Sonoma County. I imagine it would be so much more fun to feel the wind in my face, hear the roar of the engine, dulled by the hearing protectors, and fly as low over the ground as they'll let you.

  5. YP - Ouch!
Ian - The swimmer? I'm not sure I understand your reference
Lori - ah, a kindred spirit. Thanks. I took them about three years ago on my last trip up to the Rest Of The World
Dan - I LOVE little planes. What a great aim, do it. My father loves flying and I've been lucky enough to know a number of small-plane pilots and have been up a lot over the years. I love the new perspective it gives me. I've done some paintings:
