  2. Arietty! Is she named after the Borrower? - The Borrowers series by Mary Norton has been a favourite of mine for about fifty years :)

    1. Monica - Yes! She is named after the Borrower. One of my very favourites too. Named by my daughter who has only seen the animé film. We named her that because she was so very tiny when she first arrived. Mary's full name is Mary Poopins.

    1. Frances - there's about a sixty-foot - er sorry - 20 metre drop down to the river. I think they know to stay where it's safe. Although I have seen a pukeko launch itself off the top and glide to the other bank!
