Zometimes it zeems like there'z zillions of Zzzztt-zzzztt-zzttttztt-makers around this place in zummer. There are probably only about thirty at any one time. But look how the little patch of sunshine has highlighted this cicada's pretty colours.

That's an amazing photo - the delicacy and strength of those wings. We should remind ourselves more often that we live in a truly wonderful world.
